The Lonely Mansion RP

"You're so cold. You should be more open. Believe me, it wont hurt you." he smiled. He stood up and walked to the door.
"There's a wheeled chair sitting next to the bed should you deside to get up and out of bed. And, a bell on the night stand. I'll be in the kitchen if you deside you want me." and with that said he left.

Lillian felt furious for some reason. She curled up deep in the covers and cried silently, not sure exactly why. Sometime that afternoon she wiped her eyes dry and felt hungry. She stared at the bell for a long time. She did not want to have to call for him. She also eyed the chair. She tried to move over to it but her leg hurt too much for her to move. Sadly she laid back in bed and tried to sleep some more.

Iiam stopped by her room. He was almost done with her chores. "Good thing I watched her and the others cleaning. I'd be hopeless otherwise." he said quietly.
He opened her door. "Hungry or thirsty yet?" he asked. He looked over at her and waited for her response.

Lillian fretted a little to answer but finally meekly nodded yes from beneath the covers.

Iiam smiled and left to fetch her some bread and water. He wished he knew how to cook, but this would have to do.
He remembered he'd seen some tea bags in one of the cupboards and quickly made some for Lillian and himself.
Iiam returned to her room and placed the food and drink on the night stand. He removed her covers and sat her up slowly. "I'm suprized you haven't slapped me yet." he laughed. "Even I know I deserve it."

Lillian quietly took the bread and munched on it. She could not deny that she was very hungry, but she satisfied herself with the meager meal. "I'm sorry that I am of little use to you now." She said quietly, pausing from eating she laid her hands and the piece of bread in her lap for a moment. She seemed terribly depressed about the entire ordeal.

"What's wrong?" he asked, "I didn't know you could get that face."
He placed a hand on her cheek and looked into her eyes, looking and guessing what she could be so down about.

Lillian couldn't help herself. When he touched her face tears came to her eyes and began to trickle down her face. It hurt her because she didn't want him to care for her, she didn't want him to fall in love with her. She knew that it would just end in heart ache for them both. And so she tried to block his kindess...she didn't want to fall in love with him. "I-I'm sorry...I must still be a little feverish." She drew her face away from his hand and wiped at her tears.

"I am already in love with you." he read her face. For being a bit of a hermit and selfish most of his life, he had good in-site to people's emotions. "You don't need to be afraid." he smiled kindly at her.
He placed his hand on her other cheek, drawing her head close to his. He kissed her before she could protest.

She could not stop the tears that streamed down in her face. Such was the weight of their love. After he had kissed her she stared into his eyes before leaning her head and crying on his shoulder. "This love will not last..." She sobbed.

Iiam didn't say anything. He smiled and hugged her close as he could without hurting her.
"I love you." he said at last. He wasn't sure what he should do now, but he would protect her as well as he could.

Lillian sniffled uncontrollably. "You know that we can never be together." She whispered, her voice dark and ominous in his ear. It broke her heart to think that he loved her when she considered her social status. "You musn't..." She protested his feelings.

"It'll be alright. I promise, Lillian." he comforted her. "I will fight whoever I must to stay with you."
Iiam let her go and lowered her onto her pillow. "Now, you need to rest. I'll come back to check on you soon." he turned around with a smile on his face and began to leave.

Lillian feebly grabbed the end of his shirt as he was leaving. "But your father..." She said quietly, voicing her greatest concern.

"My father will do nothing. As long as I'm out of his way...he doesn't care." Iiam said sadly. "I won't let him keep you." he said darkly.

Lillian shuddered a bit from the dark tone in Iiam's voice. She gently removed her hand and pulled up her covers, deciding to get some more sleep. This side of Iiam confused and scared her...

After several hours Iiam returned to check on her. He walked in silently in-case she was asleep.
He sat in a chair next to the bed. It was almost time to change her bandages.

Towards later afternoon Lillian slowly stirred and awoken. She seemed more weary and tired than before as she slowly sat up in bed. "May I have some water...?" She hesitantly asked of Iiam, her throat was parched.

Iiam smiled. He quickly ran to the kitchen and got a glass and a pitcher of water for her.
He gave her the glass when he returned and filled it. Iiam waited untill she'd had enough to drink.
"I need to change your bandages. So...uh...I'll need you to help me undress you again." he blushed. He tried hard not to smile, but failed misserably.

Lillian was glad that he waited until she had finished drinking the water before he said that for she might have spit it out in surprise. She was aware of her broken leg but wasn't sure of her other injuries for she had been unconcious when the doctor examined her. "Where am I injured...?" She asked hesitantly as she set the glass down on the table beside the bed.

"You have several cuts on your back and legs. I'm not going to toutch the bandages on your head yet. But, the doctor told me how to change them and when. You're an hour or more passed the time he said I should change them." he with a strait face. "Honestly, I'm suprized you lived...but more than grateful that you did."

"Oh...okay...um...how shall we do it then?" Lillian seemed just as awkward about the situation as Iiam. She wondered if she should sit on the edge of the bed...if that would be easiest.

"Well..." he wast sure. Up till now he had just laid her on the bed and turned her over. "You need to lay on the bed after we've removed your clothing...again. I'll try not to look at you too much." he said honestly, still blushing.

"...alright." Lillian agreed after a long and awkward silence. She turned her back to him and undid the top buttons of her night gown. Her gown fell down over her petite shoulders, revealing a backside that had carried more burdens and suffered more torture than someone her age should have been subject too. Blushing slightly she carefully turned herself over and laid on her stomach, her small hand resting on the pillow beside her head.

Iiam walked up behind her and began removing her bandages. He saw her scars clearly for the first time. He slowly placed the new bandages over her wounds. He stared at her back for a while before he rested his head in his hands over her back. He looked like he was crying, but no tears came. "I'm sorry." he said over and over. He meant "I'm sorry my father put you through this." but couldn't finish his sentence.
