The Lonely Mansion RP

Lillian was very quiet and still. His hands felt so cold upon his back. "Your father...is a stern man." She finally said very very softly, her hands trembling slightly. Now she hoped that he understood why his father posed such a big obstacle to their love...not only did she care about what happened to Iiam...but the consequences for her could be even more terrible.

Iiam pulled himself around and finished changing her other bandages. He pulled her gown back up and buttoned it.
He sat back down next to her and closed his eyes in thought. "Maybe..." he thought outloud, "maybe...we can just leave."

Lillian turned over on her side and placed one of her small hands over his. "He would be furious...and he would find us..." She said, tears once more coming to her eyes.

"No...not where I plan on going. He would never find us...ever." he said calmly. "He wants us to throw a ball...I'll host it. Then, we leave...for the Americas." he smiled.

Lillian gasped and sat up in bed before wincing and laying back down. "But whatever will we do! The America's are such a wild place!" She had heard rumors of the things that happened over there...hardly any of them good.

"I know...I've been there before." he smiled, obviously not having any memory of anything bad happening there.
"Have you heard of New York? not the city...but the area. I love the northern part of the land." he smiled brightly.

Lillian allowed herself to dream for a moment. "It sounds lovely." She propped herself up in bed with pillows. "So...we'll have to make this a ball to remember, wont we?" A small smile lit up her face.

"Yes...we will." he leaned over and kissed her cheek. Iiam looked out the window, "Now would be a better time to leave..." he said as he watched the sun set.

"But we can't go anywhere while I have a busted leg..." She said despondetly, rubbing his hand with hers.

"When you are well enough to move on your own with out pain...then we'll leave." he promissed.
Iiam walked to his desk and took out a peice of paper and a fountain pen. He sat down next to Lillian and showed her his notes. It was a list of spendings and savings. More savings and return items than spendings. The young master had saved enough money to start a small mansion of his own.

"That's wonderful." Lillian smiled. "You're not as incompetent as your father thinks!" Her eyes twinkled with laughter.

"He thinks I break and loose my things...I just returned them or sold them." he smiled. He actually had already purchased a descent sized home in New York. It was not too far from the city, but was far enough away that it would be unnoticed." Iiam smiled, happy with his scheming. He pulled out a picture from the back of the notes. It was of the house and property he'd bought.
Iiam explained how he'd bought it with out anyone noticing and how he'd been sending things to a bank in New York to hold for him.

"Hmm...so let's start planning the party..." Lillian shyly poked on to another topic, not quite sure of her willingness to move just yet.

"How good is your writing, Iiam? If you can take down notes I'll tell you where to buy and get things."

Iiam chuckled, "Yes, enough about escaping here. So...just where would I go for this party supplies?" he asked. He'd obviously had never had to shop for anything until now.

Lillian gently cleared her throat. "If you had been paying attention you would know that I am going to tell you...but get something to write it down on, I don't want you forgetting anything." For once Lillian was bossing Iiam around with a hint of airs to her.

"Whoa...that's amazing!" he said at her tone, but wasn't spacific about what he was amazed about. "Ok...I got a pen and a paper...now, where to?"

Lillian stared at him funny for a moment about his 'amazing' comment before fluffing up her pillows and beginning.

"Now since you have no cook or wait staff you're going to have to cater out...Benelli's has great entrees and staff. For entertainment I'd suggest hiring a chamber orchestra from the music guild. Go to Elly's flower shoppe and ask her to create fall centerpieces with leaves and other appropriate fall material..." She listed on and on at end apparantly having stored a great wealth of knowledge of these things in her head.

Iiam asked her to slow down a few times, but was more than sufficiant at taking these notes. "You talk really fast some times." he commented when she was done.
He soon called for a horse and buggy to take him where he needed to go. He stopped off at every place Lillian had told him of and ordered all that he'd written down.
Iiam arived back at the mansion after many hours. He dragged his feet into the house and made his way to his room where Lillian was. He openned the door, "I had no idea shopping was this annoying and tiring." he grumbled.

Lillian had been sleeping and stirred lightly when he entered. She smiled sleepily at him. Her face was a little flushed and she felt a little feverish again. Soon it would be time to change her bandages. "Did you have fun...?" She mumbled sleepily.

"Not really." he sighed, "The only fun I had was giving the information to the center peices and reafs and what not."
Iiam flopped down in the chair next to Lillian. He hung his head over the back of the chair. He stared at the ceiling and listened to his breathing.

Lillian laughed a little and rolled unto her side, but winced a little as she moved her leg. She propped her head up on her hand, her elbow relaxing on her pillow. "Not so easy, is it?" There was something teasing about her smile.

Iiam shot a playfully dark look at her. "No...it's not."
He laid his head back again, but looked out the window behind him this time. He watched the leaves blow passed the window. Iiam lost his ballence and bagan waving his arms to regain his ballance. "Whoa shit!" he exclaimed, then caught himself.

Lillian could not help but try to hide her giggle, pulling the sheet up over her mouth. He was not the most graceful master...but she was glad to be able to associate someone as an equal human being. "Have you set a date...?" She finally asked after gaining control of her laughter.

"Yea...two nights before Halloween. I thought it would be appropriate for the season." He smiled.

"You should tell the guests to come in masquerade!" She exclaimed, her eyes suddenly bright. "I've always wanted to wear one of those masks..."

Lillian cleared her throat. "Um...anyways...would you help me change my bandages as the doctor said...?" She asked, noting the time of day.
